Missile commander sim11/12/2023 ![]() Due to how long it takes for the missiles to land and its small explosion range, the enemy the missile targeted will likely be out of the explosion range by the time it lands. This results in effective firerate being extended to about 8 seconds. While the rocket firerate is 6 seconds, it normally takes about 2 seconds for the rocket to reach the path. However, you should not rely upon this for hidden detection, as hidden enemies that spawn after the first 15 seconds of a wave will not be detected by the Commando. You can use a Level 4+ Ace Pilot to give the Commando hidden detection for the first 15 seconds of a wave. The Commando cannot detect hidden enemies at any level, thus making it unviable on its own during the early stages of the game. This tower only becomes worthwhile after Level 4, due to its substantial DPS increase. You can use a DJ Booth and Commander to help remedy this. The Commando becomes quite ineffective in later waves due to its high cost and low DPS.To see all the previous statistics of this tower, see the history page, while for the statistics without the Firerate Bug, visit the Firerate Bug page. The main weakness of the Commando is that it cannot detect hidden enemies, meaning that you have to rely on other towers for hidden detection (the rockets are able to damage hidden enemies but not target them directly). These missiles can also damage lead enemies. The missiles ignore defense, dealing full damage to the enemies with defense. Enemies in the inner sphere will be dealt 100% of the stated damage, while damage in the outer sphere decreases linearly by distance from the edge of the inner sphere to the edge of the outer sphere. The explosion is separated into two spheres. At Level 4, the missile launcher is replaced with the quad launcher, shooting four missiles at a time. After Level 2, it gains a missile launcher on its back which fires one missile that deals splash damage. ![]() ![]() The Commando shoots its laser pistols as its main attack.
